Monkey success
We are re-vegetating our 35 Ha property through sustainable tree planting programmes and natural regeneration. This wet season another 4000 trees will be planted. The signs of success are evident with a growing population of native monkeys and bird life. The monkeys remain wild and roam throughout the property. No feeding of them is allowed. They are safe and harmless, but are becoming more curious so we are asking guests not to leave their shoes or sunglasses on the deck – the monkeys may take them into the forest to impress their friends!
We hope that a student or wildlife photographer will come to Heaven to study and photograph the monkeys so that we can learn more about them. A photo book of their antics could be sold at the Resort and possibly further afield.
