Northern winter great in Heaven

We are always surprised that one of the best times to escape from Japan and Europe is during the winter but hardly anyone comes. The wet season in Heaven is magic … green, often no wind with oily clean waves and wonderful rain storms coming across the Bay in the afternoons and evenings. It’s quiet and serene at Heaven when nature is blossoming. We love it and always spend time there from December to April. Our 4WD will bring you in and the surf is good because the boat goes onto the southern reefs if Ekas Bay is small. Normally, you get heaps of surf to yourself and it’s cheaper to be there in the wet. So why don’t people come? We think that habits are formed and most like to come in June to August when the waves are biggest, but there are plenty of good days in Heaven from December to April.  You need to cover up from the insects around sunrise and sunset, but the rest of the day is the same as the dry and Heaven’s great big mozzie nets keep you safe all night.  Kiting is not good at this time but the diving is excellent.
