This exclusive new Villa ~ set on a cliff five minutes from the beach at Medewi in Bali ~ has a huge upstairs bedroom bathroom suite, and a sitting room kitchen downstairs, with another two private villa units for guests, situated around the swimming pool.
All overlook magnificent scenery. Rice fields, the coast and ocean stretching to Java. One villa opens onto the swimming pool. The other opens onto its own fish pond. They both have high rattan roofs, Bali style, and big fans for cooling. The pool villa is air conditioned, although set on a cliff, there are cool ocean breezes.
Both feature a luxury bathroom, air conditioning, television and beautiful carved beds with mosquito nets. With private shade houses ~ bales ~ and gardens for guests.
Relax by the pool on rattan lazyboys under the big umbrella. And look out at the magnificent scenery stretching along 30 or more kilometres of coast.
Where? ~ Villa KemBali
Villa KemBali is located two and a half hours from Bali’s main tourist district of Kuta, and is near Medewi in the idyllic countryside of the west coast of Bali. The name of our area is Pulukan.
Surrounded by extinct volcanoes, mountains and picturesque rice fields, we are well away from the hustle and bustle ~ but close enough for a shopping day trip to Kuta. The scenery stretches to the Island of Java. At night, the lights of the fishing boats make a magical scene.
Getting there ~ Villa KemBali
We can pick you up at the airport in a luxury coach on request (Cost $50US) or you can hire your own car in Kuta and drive up to Pulukan.
We are tucked away in the small village of Loji, five minutes before Medewi on the main road from Bali to Java. Turn left at the Villa KemBali sign ~ five minutes after the small town of Pekutatan. And we are about 20 minutes before the major regional town of Negara.
Shopping, Tours ~ Villa KemBali
Shopping is good in Negara, most things are available and at good non-tourist prices. You do not have to haggle as much as Kuta, as most prices are marked. But, as in all Bali, you can still drive a bargain. Luxury coaches with driver are also available for hire for shopping to Negara or Kuta or for scenic tours of the district and for airport transfers on request. Motorbikes are available for hire through the Villa.
Village Experience ~Villa KemBali
The roads through the mountains nearby are good, the scenery breathtaking. And the villages along the way, still traditional. As is our village of Loji. It is a fishing village which still makes its own traditional wooden outriggers, prahus.
You can buy a strong Bali coffee kopi at the local warung and chat with the locals who will make you most welcome. There is a National Park and waterfalls not far away. And a famous Temple Rambut Siwi on the coast.
Good Surf ~ Villa KemBali
Medewi’s famed left point, the longest left in Bali, can be seen from Villa Kembali. It is a good wave ~ big ~ but not as threatening as Uluwatu. Medewi’s little know right-hander is even closer, walking distance. Villa Kembali also overlooks a rarely surfed river mouth beach break, just below us ~ with both lefts and rights.
The surf is consistently first class and suitable for all levels. Surf guiding and coaching are available on request and.
